I have worked as a nonmedical caregiver for seniors for the past 2 years and was a caregiver for my mom the last year of her life. I am a retired special education teacher of 14 years and also worked with special needs adults living independently in their community for 7 years. I practice person centered support for those needing services and their families.
I will provide companionship, safety and social, emotional and nonmedical support for your loved one. In addition, l will perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes, vacuuming, sweeping ,watering plants, cooking meals and feeding, and caring, for animals. I will also take clients to medical appointments, social gatherings and tutor younger children within my scheduled time.
My number one priority is the safety, physical, emotional and social support of the person I am assisting.
