New Mexico Caregivers Coalition waives all liability for any respite provider — individual or agency — hired through this respite provider registry. It is the consumer’s/care recipient’s responsibility to conduct due diligence on the individual or agency prior to employing them. New Mexico Caregivers Coalition strongly encourages consumers/care recipients and/or their family members to conduct a background check and to obtain references before hiring any individual or agency from this registry.

Caregiving Experience/History
Ran a Memory Care unit of 19 beds where I administered dementia programs to meet the individual needs and interests of residents. Coordinated training and education of care staff regarding memory care programs/activities. Participated in pre-admission screenings of prospective new residents. Communicated positively with residents, families and community professionals regarding the memory care program and its benefits. Managed care associates and the volunteer program, including training and supervising volunteers.
Worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant for 6+ years to care for mostly geriatric patients where disabilities differ. Assessed overall quality of life and care for patients on a one-on-one basis. Reported behavior and physical condition to nurse supervisor, and family members. Charted health changes and oversaw patient's daily activities.

Bio
I am a Santa Fe transplant relocated from Michigan. My passion is Seniors/Older Adults, and have spent my entire life catered to making sure Older Adults feel seen and valued. My goal in life is to educate as many people as I can on the Dementia & Alzheimer's disease. To show them that there is still life outside the disease, it just looks different. I always have a smile on my face, and hope to spread the joy wherever I go!
