Direct Service Professional - 6 1/2 Years - I provide services for Adults with Intellectual disabilities on the developmentally disabled waiver. I provide service in a facility where we serve groups of adults providing community support, community involvement, provide care for basic healthcare needs, following plans such as communication plans, physical therapy plans, occupational therapy plans, behavioral support plans, dietary plans, and assistance with medication delivery. I am 31, going on 32, from the small town of Alamogordo, NM. Have lived in Alamogordo most of my life, with the exception of living temporarily in Arizona, and North Carolina. I come from a family of caregivers including my mother who was a home healthcare aide, my aunt who currently is a home healthcare aide, my first cousin who is an owner of a company in North Carolina specializing in care for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and has a BCBA-M (Board Certified Behavioral Analyst Masters). I have interest in music theatre, hiking, singing, and art.
