Family caregiving for 5 years in total, with two different individuals. The first client I was caring for was for 3 years, I assisted in all daily activities, toileting, changing, dressing, grooming, cooking, cleaning, I was there 24/7 with the individual. The second is my husbands grandmother, I've been helping with her for 2 years now, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, she has dementia, I assisted her with showering, toileting, dressing, cooking, cleaning and grooming.

My schedule is flexible enough that I will be able to help for a few hours, I enjoy the outdoors and being able to help others, I only speak English, but I can understand a little bit of Spanish, enough to get me by, am very outgoing, patient, and I love doing crafts, from painting, scrapbooking, photographing, drawing, pretty much anything. I love using crafts to help others by keeping their minds busy, working, and thinking, I never over do the individual past their capabilities, but I love knowing that whatever progress is made, is progress.
