Provider Information

Are you a respite care provider in New Mexico? Are you looking to connect with family caregivers who need you?

This registry is here for just that purpose.

Family caregivers come here because they need help. Many are under real strain and are actively looking for someone they can trust to step in. The Respite Care Providers Registry is designed to make those connections possible — in a way that is structured, visible, and fair.

This is not a marketing platform, and it doesn’t require you to promote yourself aggressively. It’s a professional listing: you describe your experience, your services, and your availability, and caregivers can reach out if it’s a fit.

What to expect

As a provider, you can create a profile and publish a listing that caregivers can review when they search the registry.

We don’t rank or promote individual providers. We don’t sell placement or charge fees. Every listing is presented on equal footing, and caregivers decide who to contact.

Your role is to present your work clearly and accurately. You don’t need polished marketing copy, but you should give caregivers enough information to understand who you are and how you work.

Many providers spend some time refining their profile so it reflects their experience well. You can save your work and come back to it at any time.

Why this matters

Independent respite providers often rely on word of mouth or personal networks to find work. That can be unpredictable.

The registry provides a single, dedicated place where New Mexico caregivers are already looking for support. It’s the only public registry of respite care providers in the state. It won’t replace your referrals, word-of-mouth, and other ways of finding caregivers, but it does give you a way to be seen by people who truly need help.

We believe that when providers are easy to find — and when caregivers can browse and compare options — more good matches can happen.

How the registry is run

We maintain basic standards so caregivers can use the registry with confidence.

Providers are expected to complete the required National Respite Care Provider Training and pass a background check before being listed. We review profiles before publishing, and we ask that listings stay up to date.

These standards are not about gatekeeping — they’re what make the registry useful and trustworthy for providers and caregivers alike.

At the same time, you remain in control of your listing. You can update it, unpublish it, or return to it later as your availability changes.

Getting started

Creating an account is quick and easy.

From there, you can begin building your profile and decide when it’s ready to be listed. Most providers spend a bit of time getting it right, but you don’t have to do it all at once.
